Drive Home in a New Jeep® Wrangler in Clay Center, KS
The new Jeep Wrangler has historically been a fun and enjoyable car to drive, and the latest model is no different. The latest Wrangler features updated styling to give a mild facelift to one of the most classic and recognizable SUVs on the road. The Rubicon, which has traditionally been an off-road-focused Jeep, gets a stronger rear axle for even more off-road prowess. The Wrangler has some tech updates this year, too. Here is what you need to know about the latest Wrangler.
Trim Levels
The Jeep Wrangler lineup starts off with the Sport. The Sport has a basic design but also gives you all that you need for work and practical daily driving. The Sport has a five-passenger layout with manual windows and door locks. Air conditioning is standard for comfortable driving all over Manhattan.
The Sport S offers some upgrades, including power-operated windows and doors. It also has more safety features.
With the Willys, you'll get mostly exterior enhancements, including all-terrain tires.
The Sahara adds more luxury to the features that the previous trims offer. The Sahara has a keyless entry system and automatic climate control, along with a heated steering wheel and heated front seats.
The Rubicon is the most off-road-oriented vehicle in the lineup. The Rubicon has special tires and axles, along with low-range gearing.
The Rubicon X, which is a variant of the Rubicon, features a heated steering wheel and heated front seats that are power-adjustable. The Rubicon has leather upholstery, integrated navigation, and a higher-end sound system.
The High Altitude trim is available only with the plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain. With the High Altitude you'll get heated and power-adjustable front seats and more safety aids.
The Rubicon 392 is lifted and has high-performance brakes to match its stronger engine.
Interior & Exterior
The Jeep Wrangler has room for four people with two-door models and five people with four-door models. On the inside, the Wrangler has a spacious cabin, and its features range from basic to luxurious. The Jeep Wrangler has grab handles that make it easier for everyone to enter and exit, even shorter passengers. The cabin has plenty of room and an upright driver's seat, which makes it easy to see out the front windshield. The controls are also intuitive and simple for Fort Riley drivers to use.
The Jeep Wrangler's exterior is one of the most distinctive in its class, with removeable doors, a retractable roof, and a fold-down windshield. The Wrangler comes in a two-door and four-door configuration. You can also get a hard top or a soft top. Fog lights are standard, starting with the base model, and you'll also get tow hooks and skid plates. All-terrain tires come with the Willys and up. The Willys also has LED headlights, which are standard on the higher-end trims as well. Heavy-duty axles come with some trims to enhance performance off-road.
Performance
The Wrangler has four engine options for Junction City customers to consider:
- Standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine (285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque)

Technology/Features
Although it is made for the outdoors, the Jeep Wrangler is right up there when it comes to technology and advanced features. The Wrangler has a 12.3-inch center touchscreen that responds well to your touches and is easy to see and use in all lighting conditions. The Wrangler has standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, and the Sahara has an upgraded driver's information center.
